They were tasked with renovating 32 rooms and constructing 18 new suites in a very busy environment. In fact over the course of construction the ED's volume increased from @ 32,000 visits per year to close to 60,000. At no point did the ED slow down. This increase in volume and the high acuity of our patients (most are oncology) was very trying for all involved. I can honestly say AIMS went above and beyond to provide the safest environment for all.
